We gather information you provide directly to us when you book tours, create an account, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, phone number, and booking preferences.

Your information helps us process bookings, communicate tour details, send confirmations and updates, and enhance our services.

We send SMS only to customers who have opted in by ticking the SMS consent box on our booking form. These messages include booking confirmations, pickup reminders and one request for feedback after your tour. We do not sell or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing. SMS is delivered through Twilio, which processes the message on our behalf. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

We don't sell or rent your data. Information may be shared with our guides to facilitate bookings, with payment processors such as Stripe to complete transactions, and with Twilio to deliver SMS when you have opted in. These providers process information only on our behalf to provide their services.

We use robust security measures to protect your data. All payments are securely processed through Stripe.

Your data is processed and stored outside Japan. We use Stripe for payments, Twilio for SMS, Resend for email, Supabase for our database and Vercel for hosting, and these providers operate servers in the United States and other countries. By booking with us you agree to this transfer. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at booking@ohayotravels.com.

We keep booking records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes under Japanese law. Marketing and SMS consent records are kept until you opt out. You can request deletion at booking@ohayotravels.com and we will delete anything we are not legally required to keep.
