These days are unhurried by design. Temples reward sitting still for a while, and a rushed visit gives you a photograph and little else. If a garden holds you for an hour, the rest of the day adjusts around that. Nothing is timed to a coach departure. The only clock that matters is the one at the gate telling you when the site closes.
